Fewer Travelers For The Holiday Of Fourth of July
On Fourth of July, the Independence Day of United States of America, fewer travelers are predicted by AAA. Probably the reason for less number of travelers is high gas prices. According to AAA, a travel club, the lower-income households are pinched by the high gas prices.
On the Independence Day, the Fourth of July, it is expected that around thirty-nine million Americans will travel, approximately fifty miles away from their homes. This time Fourth of July, the Independence Day, is coming with a weekend that stretches from 30th of June to Fourth of July.
The Memorial Holiday has been significantly affected by the cost of fuel that is rising gradually. The lower class families cannot afford to travel from one place to another instead they prefer saving money by staying back at home. According to the vice president of AAA Travel, the demographics of a typical Fourth of July traveler are affected by the fuel cost.
As compared to last year, the cost of a gallon of gasoline has raised by one dollar this year. According to the Fuel Gauge Report of AAA, the gasoline prices will rise every year and the daily travelers will prefer to stay at home on every Fourth of July, in future.
It has become very difficult to manage the daily travelling charges for a majority of lower class families. For these people, various companies have planned to install public charging infrastructure. Some companies such as Eaton Corporation and Cleveland have even started to develop the charger trucks. The fleet of charged trucks will start to roll out in some of the major cities.
According to AAA, these charged trucks will be equipped with the fast charger units and this will rescue the battery-powered cars. Hopefully next by the next Fourth of July, the number of travelers will increase.
