Bakon Vodka Gets QR Code

Talk about being different. Currently in 41 states, with planned expansion into Canada and Europe this year, the first flavored spirit now has a new bottle with quick response (QR) code individualizing each bottle.

The company begins its product by distilling Idaho potatoes within the state. Vodka from potatoes is smoother and slightly sweet compared to grain-based vodka. The manufacturer says they use a column – distilled process using a single heating.

Folks who like bloody Mary’s generally have been in thralled with Bakon Vodka, giving it five stars. You will not find too many middle of the road ratings. It seems people either really love it or really hate it.

Either way, the company deserves credit for coming up with the QR code and social media game.
